Do you have the new one already ? If so you might be able to look at that and tell how it goes on .

Question

The emergency brake handle has a 6" plastic handle where your hand grabs it. I want to change this handle to a brushed metal one. I want to know how to get this handle off.
thanks guys.

The eBrake is one pieve unless you have a leather cover over it.

The new aluminum pieces usually slip over the brake and use setscrews under the handle to secure the new piece to the old one.

I just bought an e-brake cover from MGW LTD and it just slips over the existing handle. It is a really tight fit but does come with setscrews on the bottom to snug it up more. WD40 or any other spray lube is necessary to slide it over. You can also use dish soap.... They also have shift knobs, turn signal levers, tilt steering lever, radio buttons, a/c control buttons, etc and they are all Billet with chose of Chrome or Satin finish. Once I get all of my pieces I ordered installed I'll post pics in my Member Gallery.

Use hairspray. It'll lube, then glue.

Works great for replacing m-cycle handlegrips.
