Exclamation 2001 V6 Mustang-theft light blinking and ignition locked.Help?

I have a 2001 Automatic V6. The other night I went to get in it and the ignition was locked the radio was making all kinds of noise the gear shifter was locked in park and the theft light was blinking. I have tried everything. Unhooked battery left it to reset. Unplugged fuses. I don't know what to do. The Ford dealership wants me to tow it to them and let them put it on a dyno. I believe its simplier than that because when i wrecked it a while back it set that theft thing off and the guy who fixed it apparently reset it. Because it was fine when i got it. And has been for over a year. A friend told me there is some weird code or something like press the brake 5 times push the radio then defrost. I don't know. Please help! I'm Desperate!

Start by checking all of the fuses in the engine bay and driver's kick panel. I suspect you have a blown fuse that controls the transmission safety interlock.

Next, use the key FOB to unlock the door and/or use the key to unlock the driver's door.

Have you done any recent work around the center console such as a radio install? The radio ground is shared by a number of devices. A problem with this ground will cause several other "issues".

Did you try pressing in on the break and trying to wiggle the steering wheel and put the key in and try turning it all at the same time. Something similar happend to me and someone told me to do that and it workd. good luck

I checked some fuses. Problem is, when i got my car fixed the guy took the owners manual and stuff out. So i don't know what belongs to what...I read something about a kick panel under the driver floorboard last night ill have to check that out.No i had a system put in it when i first got it like 3 years ago, nothing since. It still has the stock 6 disc in it. The whole key thing, i tried absolutely EVERYTHING with that. We tried locking and unlocking with the key. Tried it with the little clicker, tried pushin the alarm button then unlocking with the key, nothing worked.

Yeah theres been a lot of times i had to wiggle the steering wheel, i tried that. This is totally different. Funny thing is, the steering wheel isn't locked. And that left light hasn't been on since the first time it did this when i wrecked it. Some body told me that maybe the linkage that controls the steering slipped or broke.

Don't need an owner's manual to check all of the fuses.
