Default Got any IDEAS?

Got a 1994 Ford Mustang v6 3.8 liter, has a true dual flowmaster exhaust installed on the car, gas is pissing out of the left tailpipe, as well as spraying out of the last cylinder on the left side, thought it was a bad fuel injector, changed it still no good, hooked up a fuel gauge got -1.5 psi in the on position and when the car is turned on the guage reads 29 psi, ive never come across a problem like this, if anyone has any advice please post respone thankyou.

Because checking to see what the code is might help you track down what the problem is.

stang: hmm i heard that you can make the check engine blink so many times and it tells you a code and you then can look it up, i dont have the car manual, nor do i know how to make it blink the code, someone told me that if you get in the car driver said, pull down the dash under the steering wheel, and there is some connectors? any more advice/sugestions would be appreciated, thankyou.

coyote: the car has 125k on it.

Have it checked for codes, Autozone can do it for you.
Once you get the codes it will be easier to diagnose.

coyote: yes, i have checked the oil, it smells like gas, it is not milky or anything, the head gasket is not blown thankfully, just need to change the oil, the gas is thinning out the oil, so before damage is done to the motor, i wana change it, hmm seems like no one has come across a problem like this? thanks for the prompt responses.

Ah! that's a ring job - or, fuel pump . . . or ppossibly a misread sensor like a tps is telling the EMS that your car needs more fuel than it does.

Personally, with that much gas in your oil, and the mileage, your rings are cooked for sure . . .

you can't read blink codes with obd-ll, i think, just take it to autozone like raptor said, they'll hook up the scanner for free. it takes a couple of minutes. that way you have a better idea of what you're dealing with.

by the way, welcome to the site. :thumbup

today we tested the pulse for the injectors, the injector that is pissing the gas out is giving the noide light a steady bright stream of light, the next injector blinked, that now leads us to believe the ECM is not working..took that out...doesnt smell fried or anything, i heard there was 5 different kinds of ECM's for this model, mine has Y4E3 labeling on the barcode sticker on the ECM. heard they go for about 120, prolly try and get one from a junkyard. any new thoughts now that you know this?

have you taken it to autozone yet? that's the very first thing you should do. if the scanner cannot communicate with the ecu, then you might consider the possibility of a bad ecu. take it to autozone. it's free.

stangcrazy.

Thanks for putting that on there. I had a check engine light on a couple days ago and the dealership where my uncle works wanted 80 bucks to check it out. HA I took it to autozone and got it checked, no problem.
