Default Custom Interior

I'm going to receive an insurance claim amount very soon for an oil spill that happened to my interior. Needless to say it was nasty. Sounds like the amount of money I'm going to get will be enough to put a custom interior in. Anyone have suggestions of nice interiors for an 03 v6? Ive already been offered a Ford Racing Leather kit from a local upholstery shop that looks awesome, but Im trying to see what all is out there.

or you could try getting nice lightweight racing seats.

I've got a guy thats talking about putting in the FR500 leather racing seats. They look pretty hot, but he's wanting about $1,200 for all of it...i'm trying to find out if thats a reasonable price. Hopefully I'll have enough $$ to buy an FIPK too or something like that. Here's hoping the ford factory gives the insurance a high quote

the carpet has to be replaced too so I'm just gonna let a shop take care of all that. Plus the foam for one fo the seats has to be replaced so they might just cut the foam to save money from buying the factory piece. I'm gonna have to research how much the leather interior kit should be in the first place, but it looks awesome in the magazine. I'm bigger on speed upgrades, but this interior has to be fixed first, no question. If anyone knows of a junkyard that should have some mustang seats in there let me know, I could just buy the foam from that cheap probably.

yeah like badass said, you can get the quote from ford or whoever is supposed to do the installing and do the work yourself so you can save a lot of money and then use what you have for some bolt-on's. doing the seats and rug is a piece of cake. trust me, i did them not too long ago.

you know of any good manuals that show how to take apart the interior? I always hate taking the plastic pieces of the interior apart because it always seems like it snaps back in looser than it was originally. But definitely saving some money would be nice. Supercharger coming one day

the Haynes manual for mine has a good breakdown on how to remove all the plastic pieces...

If anyone knows where I can find a price for the FR500 two tone leather seat package on the internet then please give me the site address. I can't find it anywhere. I thought it'd be easier to order than this.

I use mobil 1 0W 20 weight synthetic oil in my car, so I change it myself to save $$. I had an oil pan i drained the old oil into and was taking that pan back to advance to dispose of the old oil. The pan had a screw on lid and I wrapped a big towel around the pan too, but the crap was leaking out of the shitty top of the oil pan the whole time I was driving there. I had no clue it was even happening until I got there and went crazy when I saw what had happened. I learned a hard lesson and wish I had never even tried to dispose of the old oil. However, seems like I'll be able to right the wrong through insurance, so thats cool.

geez, that does suck. but is it all over the interior or just in one spot? did you put the oil container on the floor?

I had put it in the passenger's seat and its on that one seat and the carpet, but I'm going to change the entire interior with a leather package. FR500 or not.
