Default 4.2L Crank

how much does a crank cost? where can I get one? What all needs done besides changing the crank? I know it takes a long time but is it hard to do? I'm going to guess you need to lift the engine, which I can't do, so how many man hours would it take? What kind of HP gains do you get?

if you don't know about engines, you're not gonna be able to do it.

there's other places too but i forgot them.
i think you could also get it from ford.

i think you might have to do other mods to the valve train and pistons, to get the best out of the new crank and for valve clearanc. also, if you're gonna change the crank, you should consider upgrading all other internal engine parts to get the most hp and torque possible.

That's a difference in cubic inches of about 10.5%... So you will gain about 10.5% of what you have now.

i really don't know cause i never looked into that but i'm thinking it's pretty expensive. i think it would be cheaper to buy a complete 4.2L engine if you want high hp output. one guy on this sight has a 4.2 and he's putting out around 265rwhp. not bad at all.

here http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ad.php?t=29372 maybe this guy could help you out more.

That's if everything is the same except more displacement.
