Default Problem with 2000 stereo (CD)

I have a 2000 mustang, with bog standard radio/cassette and CD player. The CD player has died, I have taken it out and sent it to be repaired. Now, the only sound out of the radio is treble. I can only assume that the radio unit sends a pre-out to the CD player, this in trn sends the signal to the amp.
If this is the case, there will be 2 connections on the cd player's leads that I am interested in, the signal from the radio and the signal from the CD to the amp. I want to bridge them (i.e. sending the radio's signal direct to the amp), butI cannot find a wiring diagram to tell me which 2 wires they are.
Can anyone help? either with the answer, or to tell me that I am completely wrong with my assumptions

Thanks :thumbup

Do what I did, replace the stock ones for an aftermarket one. Our stock CD players are made by Sony, and Sony SUCKS!!! I got rid of mine fast. One a side note, Sony makes horrible optic readers. My sony CD-rom crapped out on me, my sony cd player i use to have on my buick died on me, and my playstation skips like crazy. Just get a new cd player, you'll be happier.

The problem I have is that I am in the UK, I wouldn't know where to start trying to install a new CD player....the connectors are not available here, and I only need a quick fix until the CD player is fixed....I do 70 miles a day, no music is killing me!
