Default How do I know whether I have T5 or T 45?

I have 2002 Mustang V6, and looking to purchase Steeda Tri-Ax shifter. I have manual transmission, but no I idea whether I have T-5 or T-45 or something else. I thought T5 referred to 5 speed, but when I saw T45, I didn't know anymore. Help?

The shifters are interchangable, what works on a T5 works on a T45. But just to answer your question, I believe the V6's are T5's.

I have been doing some more research and Steeda site mentions that 2002 and up stangs use TR3650 instead of their T5 or T45.
I am so lost.

That's a Tremec.

Many people swap to a tremec, for strength. I think it may be standard on the Cobras.

All V6 Mustangs use the T-5 trans. All the Ford manual trans are made by Tremec. The 05 V6 may use a different trans.

I have been asking around and if anyone else is buying steeda Tri-Ax for their 2002 V6 mustang, it is T5/T45 with Tri-Ax, not TR3650.
I haven't purchased one yet, but hopefully, when I get it, it will be the right one.
