Thumbs up Looking for suggestions

undefined

new stang owner on the block. I have been a mustang enthusiast for many years. I just purchased a 1998, Ford Blue, 3.8L mustang in '02. It only had 21K when I picked it up and is still under 50K now. It has been a really great expirience so far but I need a little more. Although it is very nice I want to make it personal. Any suggestions?!

Personal in terms of looks, or speed? In the looks department there are a few choices: 17" wheels, lowering kits, headlight swaps, interior accessories. Graphics are another option, but are less popular among Mustang owners for various reasons.

As far as engine and performance mods, there is almost an endless list. Cold Air induction, lower rear-end gears, ported intakes, dual exhaust, superchargers, turbochargers, nitrous.....

Browse the gallery for ideas. The site is probably the best source of help on the net for mods to your car. Very nice people and knowledgable. Do your homework, though.

get a few magazines, and look through 'em.

THe first thing you need is a plan. what exactly is it you want?

Performance? looks? handling? durability?

try to imagine what your perfect ride would be, and put together to order in which you want to modify. Looks 1st priority? Exterior or interior? performance? handling or engine? durability 1st?

Your plan will depend on how you prioritize what you want.

The worst thing you can do is start buying stuff without any goals. you'll get a poor running-poor handling headache, that looks bad.
