Default clutch problems, 1996 Mustang

i drive a 96 mustang and when i drive sometimes my clutch pedal will vibrate really fast. it does it in every gear until ur in 5th gear then it stops. it doesn't always do it. it will do it for a month or two and then stop for a couple weeks then start again. Does anyone know how to fix it? thanks

does it feel like the clutch is slipping? and can you hear it(the pedal) vibrate or feel it vibrate? does it have a stock quadrant?

CLutch sounds like it is mis-aligned. And what a perfect time to upgrade to a new clutch as well. When you do get it checked out make sure they replace the small parts there suppose to.....Im drawing a blank though on what there called......crap!

I cannot remember what it is called, but that is what it sounds like or our clutch cable might be rubbing against something. There could be a few things wrong with your clutch as well at the transmission if that is incase the problem. I would take the car to a certified transmission repair shop that way they can guarentee their work if there needs to be some done.

it sounds like clutch chatter to me. can be caused from a glaved over flywheel a broken clutch disk or any other part inside. or oil getting onto the flywheel through the rear main seal. or loose tranny mount.either way i belive your tranny has to be dropped and inspected get the flywheel resurfaced and a new clutch kit installed. how many miles on the car? is it the original clutch?

how many miles are on the clutch. does the pedal get hard after a while of driving? do you smell anything. look under the dash at the pedal assy. check for loose or broken quadrant and check the pedal assembly.

i think it is the original clutch in it and it has some where around 76,000 miles on it. the vibrateing stops when u get into 5th gear and does it when ur between 2 and 3,000 RPM's

You could try burning your clutch a little. If you have the HP to do it.
