Default 99 3.8 to 5.0 conversion help

i have a 99 mustang convertable that i would like to change from the 3.8 to a 5.0 from an 89 or later mustang. i was wondering if anyone knows anything about this swap. do they sell a kit to help with it? i can get a donor car cheaply, so the transmission and motor will be in hand plus the computer and all other parts, i just dont know about motor mounts or any little things that could come up with this conversion. any info is greatly appreciated. when i enter a search engine on the internet nothing comes up.

it can be done, but it is alot of work for nothing really, you could go with a 4.6, have alot easier job, and still get a strong V8 under the hood, but if you insist on a 302, i would talk to some professionals about it, i dont know how much experience you have, and im not 100% sure what's involved, but it isnt anywhere near as simple as dropping a 4.6 in.......

In short.... there are no kits to do this, and what I would do is get a 94-95 GT 5.0 302 and swap the whole car out (you're basically rebuilding a GT mustang) hence why we say just buy the GT.

You need to swap out computer guages wiring harness everything, all you should be left with is a V6 Shell with GT parts and get to work at slapping them on.

It will prolly cost more than buying a GT new if you don't do the work yourself. most shops wouldn't even bother with such a job or charge way far up the wazoo.

So I say just buy the GT

Cars aren't like the old days where it was like swap and play, they are well too complioated to do that now.
