Default question about programmer?

i have a question and this is going to sound weird but i was looking at the diablo sports tuner and i was wondering if anyone had one, i know they are plug and play and that you can take them out and you computer is still reprogramed. They are about 350 bucks roughly. i was wondering if i could barrow one from someone, i am a very honest person, i am in the military and i am very trustworth. I would pay for shipping when i ship it back i would have it in the mail back to you the day i got it or the day after. I would be willing to throw in a little extra for insentive too. thanks

My understanding is the Diablo is "married" to your car until you uninstall the custom tune from your car and reinstall the factory program... You can use the Sport as an ODB II scanner on any car but you can't use it as a tuner...

Like i said... that's my understanding...

almost every chip for a car that is worth using will record your VIN and when you program the computer, it stores all of your stock information until you change it back. You would beable to use someone's if they changed the computer back, but the owner of the chip wouldnt beable to use it again until you changed yours back to stock.

also, if you buy one, you should go with SCT. They are about $350, but you can get a computer cable to hook the flasher to your computer and change stuff as needed(you wouldnt have to pay $75 to get it reflashed incase you ever bought gears or something for your car.

You can get an SCT x-calibrator which is more reliable than the older SCT tuner. It runs $350, and $50 for the cable to allow you to dl files over the net. Justin at www.velocitymustangperformance.com can get it for you.
