Default 1994 V-6 Rear End???

I just wanted to know if the 1994 Mustang V-6 came with the 8.8 rear end or if it is 7.5 or something of that sort?? I wanted to know because I am swaping in a 351 Windsor and didn't want to tear my car apart!

What ALL would I need to do the 3.8 to 351 Swap?!?

7.5, you'll need to get a 8.8 or 9" rear end . ..

you can get by w/the tranny if you baby it, but you should be able to find a GT model fairly cheaply . ..

are you going to run the efi? what do you have so far? I have done a 351 swap into a factory v8 car not a 6 but there is a lot you need.

I haven't bought anything yet but it is going to be carburated to make it a little bit easier on me!

I don't hear much of this swap in the 94-95 mustang, do you know why this is? It will fit won't it?

I have two engines lined up right now! The first one Say's that you can test dirve it, and the other has 20K miles on a rebuilt, carb to oil pan, and it also say's it runs excellent!

Give me more info!!!Please!!

The reason you have not heard much is because it is a little costly. It is not just swapping the motors, but to really make it work right you have to change the suspension, tranny, and rear end. Also will take a computer upgrade. Never heard of anybody except for drag racers putting a carb motor in a newer Stang. Well good luck, and I am sure others here will help you out with more info.

yeah I knew the cobra R did but I didn't know if it had a modified engine compartment of some type or not!

What do you mean by suspension, what all is involved in that? Just so I can start

You will need to change the struts and shocks on the front end... a 5.0 is a lot heavier then a 3.8. Not sure what else you will need to change up front, just remember that you car was built to hole a six not an 8.

the suspension is just fine, especially if ur not trying to make it handle really well, actually for drag racing the v6 springs are probably better becuz they are softer and will transfer weight better
