btw you're supposed to grind a flat spot in the pin not out of the gear itself. (or clock the gear in relation to the carrier so the pin fits between two of the teeth.) that way you put the pin in put the ring gear on, slide the pin out(because the flat spot lets it clear the teeth) and put the c clips in.

thanks for the advice on the teeth. it wasnt gona fit no way no how. something had to be ground. i have heard of people snapping that pin who have ground out of it so i figured this to be better. as i showed it didnt contact there anyway. so i beleive its all good.
perhaps the posi was different. i just went with what the ranger boys had done. i beleive you fully and i didnt grind but a few slivers off( i watched the vid again and it does appear like a lot!!!) if i do her ever again i shall look into the pin i was just in fear of taking too much out of the pin. if ida done it on just one tooth i would have had to take out way more.
