right, what you want to do is check under your hood and see if you have air being injected into your engine through your air intake through the throttle body. If so after it burns though your cylinders and gets ejected through your exhaust manifold, it completes the air injection cycle. so in theory you have air injection... come one seriously, unless your talking about your egr what you dont need anyways.

yea see i thought that was the air injection 2, but if so why do they have the option of selecting the headers without air injection

what is the difference in price? I would judt go with regular shorty headers on the passenger side you need a 3/4" tube coming up that is threaded for your egr if you opt to keep your egr, if you live in a emissions controled enviroment. If not you can delete your EGR and but a egr delete kit on ($30), but you will have a check engine light after that. Easy fix with a chip.

they were the same price, yea im just leaning towards regular shorty headers now either way, the whole air injection thing was startin to piss me off cuz not many people have an idea of why its like that. but ya i live in emission controlled enviroment, what is the performance difference between long tubed headers and shorty?

a guy told me that he thinks the air injection is part of the egr, and if you live in emissions free enviroment then u go with the without air injection headers, sounds like a good guess to me really, but thats the best answer so far.

yeah all the egr does is take exhaust anf run it back through the engine to reburn it and keep engine temps down. I woudlnt go with long tube headers on your 6, you would run out of backpressure pretty quick, shortys are the way to go untill you supercharge or turbo charge.
