Overdrive Pulley?

I was searching the forums and was reading up on UDP's and I noticed someone mentioned if you have alot of stereo equipment ill need an overdrive pulley for my alternator... Now what exactly is "alot" of stereo equipment? I current have the mach 460 with 2 12" rockford fosgates and amp. Will i need the overdrive? If so where can i find one at? Thanks for the info.

Never heard of an over drive pulley.

it is an overdrive alternator pulley. And if you have subs and amps then yes you will need it. You might want to check out www.mustangsunlimited.com

K, I know you are probably sick of people asking this lcurle but is there anyway i could get you to post the link to exactly what i need? Im not finding an overdrive alternator pulley for a 01 v6. Thank You!

this is for a 95 and older, but give them a call and see if they have one for a 02....

Steeda Underdrive Pulleys with not give you any problems.

so let me get this straight . . overdrive pulleys make the alternator charge the battery better? and underdrive pulleys make the engine work less to turn the belts resulting in more power. so my question is, is does the over drive make the engine loose power? and would the underdrive pulleys not charge the battery enough with my two tens with 600 watt?
