I was looking for a new front bumper for my car cuz my other one got messed up when I hit a rabbit. I was looking on Summitracing.com and I found a sweet looking 2001 Cobra Front Bumper Cover. I e-mailed their tech support and he said with the info that he had the bumper would only fit the GT. So I asked if he was sure that it would only fit the GT and he said the best bet would be to contact ford and ask them. Well I called a dealership and all they could do was tell me that they should fit but it wasn't a guarantee and they gave me the prices of the V6, GT, and Cobra bumper. Does ne one know if a Cobra Front Bumper Cover will fit on a 2000 V6 Mustang?

yes, it will fit. But not your 1998. the headlights, fenders, etc are totally different.
You could convert it, but you'd probably have to replace every panel on the car to make it work.
Some people do it, but I don't know that it'd be worth it.

You're sure it will fit. Don't really wanna spend $400 for nothing.
THey sell it in the Ford Racing Catalogue. It will fit on v6 cars. It's the same chassis. Borla did it with their 2001 Show v6 car.

I too think it will fit . The part numbers for the front re bar and absorber read the same . You should be able to buy an after market OEM style cobra bumper cover cheaper . At a local vender (here) www.smeal.net , they list a front cobra bumper cover at $206 . Just go to a local auto repair garage in your area and ask who carries aftermarket parts . Last , I think that 5.0restro also has conversion kits ( or did when I was thinking about doing that )
