130-136, more or less, depending on gearing.

raising or removing top speed limiter on a 97 v6 dont now what one to do? no mods "yet" think to get a cold air, duel pipes ,underpullys, and could that give better top speed if i rasied or remove the limter?

Default Torque Specs

Ford Torque Specs Leave A Lot To Be Desired!! If I Was Putting On Head Gaskets[a Problem For The 3.8's], I Would Get A Stud Kit From Summit And Use The Torque Setting For The Supercharged Model, which I Think Is @ 70 Lbs.. Those Torque To Yeild Bolts Can Only Be Used Once And Do Not Have The Clamping Force Of A Stud!!! Also To Get More Horse Power You Really Have To Change Cams.. Hosepower Is Derived In R.p.m's That Means You Are Going To Have To Get A Computer Progam That Will Get The Job Done, Ignore Low End Reversion And ,change Your Fuel Mixand, Eliminate Any Top End Restriction...you Get What You Pay For.. Or You Could Put A 4.56 Gear And Use All The Pones You Have Now.. Good Luck

A drop in K&N will only give you 1 or 2 HP nothing youd be able to feel...a cold air intake would help a little but if you find the means i suggest putting in the cold air intake and a full exhaust and then you should notice a good diff

No that is completely wrong. That's why GT owners should stick to GTs. opening up the exhaust kills hp more than it makes it when the redline is 5400 RPM.

The hp is on the intake side on a torque biased engine.

I got my 3.8L V6 automatic up to 135 mph.... Took awhile of course but it got there.
Only performance mods i have is a cold-air intake and a speed chip. Noticed someone said there car shakes violently while driving. Mine does too, but my tires need to be rebalanced so that should be the only problem. That speed chip i have i think does nothing for my HP. I can drive down the road, then once i stomp on the gas, it makes my car down-shift, and once it reaches about 4-5000 rpm's it shifts into the next gear. Also when racing, my car hits about 120, gets stuck at 4000 rpm's and stays... Knowing i still have another gear, i have to take my foot off the gas for a short period of time, then stomp it so it shifts into the next gear, letting me gain more speed. (wierd huh) ) 1994 Mustang Convertible goes beast.

a little problem. i've got a 1995 V6. My brother owned it and blew then engine up. My dad rebuilt it and told him the compression is low and it needs a rebuild. I was told again last week one side had to be re-rung. I was trying to figure out if reringing it or replacing it with a 302 would be better. It already has new heads and valves. The numbers labeled on the engine during compression check were {145-160-175-190-95-50} any ideas?

well for starters get it rebored and then you have a choice of keeping it 3.8 or going 4.2 liter with a bottom end swap (pistons matched to bore), using MLS gaskets, and cut down supercoupe studs from ARP fasteners. retune and you are done

Thumbs down

the metric system is designed for ricers because 90kph sounds better than 55mph
lol

Cool cheap power

ive installed a k&n drop in filter and when people say they work theyre right. also you could use some injector cleaner and octane booster from stp
