Default Paint matching.

Can paint be easily matched on an aftermarket bumper or hood or are you basicly forced to get a full new paint job? Ive been kicking some ideas around but spending 1-2 grand on a full new paint job is not my ideal place to sink that much money this early on.

Matching the color of a paint is easy.

As far as painting goes well thats a different story. Figure to do at least the entire part to have it come out right. If the hood needs some paint then figure to paint the whole hood.

Of course you can keep touching up and having it look crapy if you can stand it until you think it's time to do the whole car.

A lot of body shops that do repairs on vehicles involved in accidents will paint the new part in place and overspray onto the old painted areas if they can. It makes it blend in a little better. But as far as matching paint there will always be a slight difference in paint between different lot numbers of paint.
