Default 2002 V6 Mustang Rear Differential Questions

Im wondering if the V6 2002 Mustang has a Limited Slip Differential in it. Does anyone know, is there anyway to tell other than spinning the wheels, like an option code? If it does not come with a LSD are they easy to install? I know on my 240sx its just a pumkin swap and on the camaro its a little more involved, but basically the same thing. Im new to the Mustang and im trying to get as much information as I can. Can anyone help me with this?

thanx

the 2002 Mustang V-6 was not offered with a
limited slip diff.
You could go aftermarket and upgrade it to a
limited slip diff.
If you are looking for a 3.73 Gear let me know
I got a motorsport 3.73 still in the box never used.
I will make you a sweet deal on it. I also have
other items also send me a pm if you want to know
about my other items.

Ok, now that i know that, can you take the rear end of a Mustang GT with LSD and put it on a Mustang V6?

any part on the GT or Cobra will fit the v6.

You'll need the ENTIRE rear end, including the quad shocks. but it's the same suspension pickups.

What does this ENTIRE rear end consist of? What is part of the differential carrier that makes it one unit? Does anything else need to be done to the car, or is it just a direct swap?

thanx

you'll need the axles, housing, differential, gears, etc.

None of the 7.5" parts will fit, if I remember correctly.

But I think on the 2001+ cars, the axles may fit . . .

Regardless, just get the entire rear end, and bolt it in. Fewer headaches.
