no roots for the V6 unless you go do a swap from a Supercoupe.... I have a link for you.

yeah, you can buy a rebuilt SC engine for 1800 dollars at O'Reilly's. It has the Eaton Twin-Screw, forged crank, & pistons.

The block of the 01+ 3.8 is actually a little stronger than the SC block, but the crank is balanced at zero. So you'll need a custom crank to run in a modern block.

We work very closely with Magnum Powers who has the Magnaport I, II, and III upgrade for the SC. With an intercooler and an SCT tune we see 400 HP at the tire.
The question is what does every think the market would be for a bolt on kit (with blower) for the V6 market, if the kit could be had for about $3600.00.

Thanks,

Ron

Oh, ok, I know who those guys are.

1 question, 1 observation:

1) Are these rebuilt Eaton Units?

1) I'd think they'd be more useful in combination with a 4.2L stroker . . . Given the low RPM boost.

whups!

One more Q.

Will it work with the split-port heads?

We discussed having to come up with an intake for the split port heads, but as I mentioned we are strictly in the early stages right now, to judge the market. No these would not be a rebuilt Eaton and they would of course work better on a stroker, but that would be up to the individual customers budget.
We do feel that those that bought the V6 versions, were more interested in economy rather then power, but we shall see.

There's no way I would run one on a pre-01 car, and running the SC heads seems like taking 1 step forward, and 2 back.

Centrifugal SC units are more economical as far as MPG goes than Roots-style units.

People around here have different goals and objectives, some have 2-4000 to throw around, others go incrementally.

Most folks haven't been overly concerned about MPG until recently.

when thinking of a design concept, you will take into account the pulley system conversion you would have to do on your stock motor to accomodate the SC blower. I talked with Eaton, and they make a long screw to tie into your existing serpentine belt system so you do not have to transfer much over. If you were to have that allready inplace on the blower that would be much more interesting. And you also have to think of cost for the different systems out there allready vs. the cost of your system. I can give you the economis formula for calculating if there is a market for this item.
