Default A/C blows cold air and then it doesn't

I have a 96 V6 3.8 liter mustang. The a/c had new freeon in it. The electric fan doesn't always go on immediately when I put the a/c on; however sometimes it does. But then it will start blowing warmer air after the air was just ice cold. I think in the middle of things the electric fan is stopping. However when the engine reaches 221, the electric fan kicks on to cool the engine. I am puzzled. One mechanic said when he wiggled the Constant Control Relay Modular, it worked the way it should. Any advise would help. Thanks. Cindy

Seems like it is the AC relay in the CCRM. You can either replace the CCRM or open it and have an electronics shop (or you using a soldering iron) install a new relay.

I did this once when the fan relay failed on me.

That's normal, the computer shuts off the AC under full acceleration to give you more power for passing.
