Take a look.

very nice write up, think that deserves a sticky

That seems like a ton of work... I would rather just spend the money and get a Port and Polish Job done...

Click on the sleeper turbo!

this is what I was thinking of. Still haven't made up my mind, though.

Procharger - Remote Turbo.

Tough choice.

Porting and polishing is really not that hard. It's all about taking your time and paying attention to detail. I've done a few intakes and heads and they turned out very well (even the first ones). And remember, aluminum cuts really easy, don't get too aggressive or use very abrasive cutters.

I remember in shop class in high school I rebuilt a 4 banger I think it was ...... maybe it was a V6. We also polished the ports with a drill and the stupid thing and you go up and down for like 2 days lol. Cant remember much from those days ..... I just remember that part in particular .... im guess thats polishing a port?

You're probably remembering a flap-wheel on a drill. It's tedious, but flap wheels will give you a decently round bore, because I'm sure many people have turned round ports oval with dremmels.

when i built my 289 in the 70`s, i spent a ton of hours porting everything that could be. on the heads i did the exaust ports to the header, i did the intake to the gasket and the intake ports. i did the spacer on top of the hi-rise to the holly carb even. i opened up the oil drain holes in the head. de-burred every part on the block and heads while i was at it. i went through alot of stones. time i had, money i didnt. it turned out awesome.
