Default New 17" x 7" chrome rims

Hey guys,

What do you think of these rims? I'd be putting them on a '95. I dont have very much cash so I dont have much choice :S I can get these for $350 CAN.

17" x 7" Chrome

2 Questions....What do you think? Are 17's the right size choice?

17 are fine, but those look heavy. I'd check out the weight 1st.

I totally forgot to consider weight :P It's an ebay'er that lives near me. Sent a msg; will post when I hear back.

He's also got these:
http://i11.ebayimg.com/05/i/06/d3/89/76_1_b.JPG

Size: 18" x 8.0" (+35mm) or 18" x 7.5" (+50mm) Bolt Pattern: 5/114.3
Finish: Polished Aluminum

He's got other polished alum rims....but I'd rather have chrome. Does Polished alum look any good? Or last very long?

be careful with the 17 X 7's bro...I had those on my 96' with a 40mm offset and the rear rims/tires hung inside the rear wheel wells by at least 2-3 inches because the body expands outward when you go from the front of the body to the rear...did not look good. Be sure the offsets are correct, I found that out the hard way...you might want to look on tirerack.com or call their toll free # and ask what size/offset is best for your car...

Don't make the same mistake I made on my first set of rims...sometimes cheaper isn't always better...my advice to you would be to save up your $ and do it right the first time

16 or 17x8 for performance -depending on whether you want acceleration or handling.

Any more than that and both will suffer.

Your best bet to eliminate the need for spacers is to shop at Discount Tire Direct, the Tire Rack, Ford Racing, or MustangTuning.com . . .

Out of what was posted.... I like the second set better. The first is too "rice" for me.
