Question-Detroit locker

Who here uses one and where did you get it? Should I get the 3.73 gears or leave the stock 3.27 gears in with the locker?

Ok I found a dealer. Summitracing has Detroit Lockers for the 7.5" diff. But they only have them for the Aerostar, Bronco II, Explorer, and Ranger. Where can I find one for the Mustang?

They are all the same. It's just that they advertise for the Sport Utes, becaus ethey need them more.

It's the same housing.

Cool. So all Ill need is some friction modifier for this. And Im guesing a mechanic is going to charge me $600 or more to install it.

Call around -the less often they do it, the more they'll charge.

I found quotes everywhere from $250-$600 to install (I went with the $250 from a speed-shop)
