k, ima hold off then, cuz my goal by next summer is to have a cam, roller rockers, intake manifold P&P, phenolic spacer, heads, CAI + throttle body, and UDPs. plus if i can get an internship at raytheon next summer ima shoot for a turbo and either a tranny swap to a manual or a rebuilt auto.

you should be set!

While you have the engine out, you can throw on a 2500RPM stall converter . .

Believe me you will be disappointed with only a 2500 converter.
That is just a little over stock.

Also just FYI a phenolic spacer does not add much ,it's poor bang for the buck.

It's 600 over stock, go to 3000RPM (only 500 more), and you start having driveability problems, overheating in warm climates, mileage drops, etc.

If you go with a 3000RPM, you should throw in a tranny cooler if you plan on keeping the car a while.

I put a 2500 one in my 68, and it was fine.

a throttle body spacer does nothing, an intake spacer adds 9hp/tq due to increased volume in the plenum.

7.5% increase for less than $100 is GREAT bang for the buck.

that's .105 hp per dollar

a programmer is .03 hp/dollar

42% underdrivers are .072hp/dollar twice as cost efficient than a programmer

a CAI is the same.

A GT takeoff with an h-pipe is .06

The only thing higher on the bang for buck scale is a drop in K&N style filter.

at .175 hp/dollar
