Default intake spacer/ p&p upper inake.

well what kinda power gains, i know its not much, would i get from this, and what is involved in taking the upper off? do i still have to drain coolant and all the other stuff involved in taking the lower off?
my guess about 5hp/tq?

no. it's pretty simple, -you don't have to take off the heads.

Pick up a Chilton's or Haynes for detailed instructions on the Tech board are instructions on porting.

depending on the size of the spacer you'll pick up 7-9 peak hp, but the power and torque below peak are higher sometimes as many as 12-15, if I remember correctly. -There used to be a thread covering the spacers in the tech section with a dynochart posted by Flex.

If you swap the cam, use 1.8 Roller Rockers, or use a power adder the gains are much higher, as there is more air available to the engine.

im not going to be able to put that much money into my car, and i dont think ill be able to do a cam swap. if anything im really considering nitrous. but as for cam/forced indutcion count my car out . rollor rockers are a lil expensive as well arent they? but i would be at them w/ the lower intake off right?

They're $250. cheap!

You only have to remove the valve cover to swap out the RRs.

There's a thread here somewhere if you look up the archives.

eh.. 250 isnt cheap for less then 10 hp. well if i do end up getting N20 what other mods would complement the n2o the best then?

The spacer is between 75-95 dollars. that's cheap for 7-9 RWHP/TQ. People pay twice that for a metal CAI that nets the same hp.

the 1.8RRs get you closer to 15rwhp, and they will work better with the spacer & whatever else you do.

yeah, true a cai from mac or anyother brand is about that much for probally 1/2 the gains. i have an ebay CAI.

so u think rr's and a spacer will make about 15hp?

The spacer is good for 7-9 hp no matter what, but low end torque and hp is where it really shows up.

I don't know what combo you have right now, but depending on your other modifications, it could easily be worth more than that.

If you have no other modifications, then yeah, 15 hp min.

ebay CAI for what thats worth,thats it.

edit: are there any rr's that fit other aplications. b/c they arent too popular of a mods to do to a v6 stang...

If it were me, I'd pick up an underdriver before anything else.

the E-Bay CAIs are the same as a drop in filter -5hp.
