Question Hello all, my first question...

Hello! I am brand new to the boards and have my first question for y'all.
I have a stock 2004 V6 Mustang and am ready to start upgrading it a little.
I am currently looking at this stage 2 power pak http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/p...2PowerPaks.pdf

What do you guys think of this?
What improvements will I notice with this?

Thanks.

they're expensive, they're good -but sales finance their race team.

you can usually get the parts cheaper separately, but if you want to get it all in one place, they're a good source.

you can also check out www.moranav6racing.com and www.rpm-mustangs.com

What difference will I notice in my mustang after adding these parts?
More acceleration?

The description for this power pak claims "up to 70 HP gain".
Is this realistic?
With these mods, could I keep up with my friends' 4.6 V8 mustang (not the GT)?
Thanks.

yeah, its going to depend on other work you've done (hence the up to).

70 hp outta those powerpacks on a 94-98 car are easy as pie.

You're more likely to get 30+ hp, depending on what you've done with the intake & exhaust.

I haven't seen what they offer in stage 1 for a while, so if you want some bench racing guestimates, If you post the list, we can probably tell you what you're gonna get.

Hey, I could open it after all.

Yeah, you'll pick up 70 hp on a 4.2L. The 4.2L is bottled up about as bad as the 94-98 cars.

-more like 30-35 on a 3.8L.

Assuming you've optimized your exhaust and intake prior to dropping in the engine -dual exhaust- 70+mm MAF, calibrated, 70 mm throttle body, and dynotuning it.

I hope I am not being too much of a bother....

I was reading through some older threads and it seems a good way to start would be with a K&N cold air intake and maybe a 42% underdrive pulley.
Would this get me any noticeable acceleration?
The smart thing for me would be to start with the easier stuff and then work my way up.
Thanks.

After more research, I am seeing that I will need to get a tune after installing a CAI. Is this true?

I went ahead and ordered the 42% UD pulley and belt.

No....Just take off your positive battery terminal for 5 minutes. Better yet, just disconnect it before you start putting on the CAI, then reconnect it when you're done......
