Default door lock problem

hey guys,

Recently I have been having problems with my door locks. It started off with the driver side, when I would try to lock the car with the remote you could see the button trying to go down but it seemed as if it did not have enough power to do so. So I tried doing it using the lock/unlock button from the door panel, and same thing would happen. There would be times when it would go down normally, but then it stopped working again. And recently it started happening with the passenger side as well.

So I am trying to figure out what could be. If any of you guys have any ideas please let me know. Thanks

What year is the car? It sounds like the door mechs are getting gummed up. It does happen over time. Does it sometimes feel a little firm to unlock the door with the key? Sometimes you may find it easier to unlock it on wet days because of the moisture. Try taking the door panel off and getting some lubricant up into the lock mechanism and work it in.
