Default Is My MAH Pegging?

I received CEL yesterday, and took it to Autozone for the code. It came back as air/fuel ratio. Now this is the second time it has happened in a month or so, and only when I take her up close to redline. Any advise on what it may be? Am I pegging due to the duals and K&N without getting a tune?

I highly doubt you're pegging your MAF. However, I would try using some electrical parts cleaning spray to clean the filaments inside it.

What was the exact code? . The A/F might have changed enough to set the code off because of the duals exhaust ,either that or an 02 sensor is going bad .

P1285 Air/fuel mixture. As far as my MAH being cleaned, I'm pretty adamant about keeping it free flowing and it gets cleaned regularly with computer cleaner. I thought it might be leaning out at high rpm's. (5300) If I don't take it that high, it is fine, yet it doesn't do it all the time. Can't wait for that supercharger install......

That's what I was thinking . ..

Fuel filter could be the culprit, or injectors, too

P-1285 is a Cylinder Temp sensor that indicates the clinder temp is getting too high . Check you antifreeze , and if you have changed it lately be sure you bleed the system or it will get an air bubble in it and cause this sensor to trip.

Maybe I'll give her a flush this weekend anyway. So am I getting some type of detonation in the cylinder? Both times it has happened is when I got on it after getting off the highway. Hey GT, what type of tranny do you have?

If it happens again after you flush it and bleed the system , then the cylinder head temp sensor is likely bad , also change out the T- stat while your at it and note the way it comes out so you don't put it in backwards .
The Tranny I am using now is a G-Force dog ring T-5 .

I was thinking about just yanking out the t-stat and not replacing it anyway. I will be putting it up for the Winter in 3 weeks, and really don't need it. Wouldn't it run cooler without it and the S/C?

Well not having the S/C on there would help but I would run it with the thermostat if I were you .
