Default lost in exhaust

I have a 99 v6 mustang and there are so many exhaut systems to pick from. I am looking for a complete set. What would have the best performance and sound for less than $500. There is lots of companies that make exhaust which is the best.

Thank you for reading and thank you for any responses

THey're all about the same, so long as you don't exceed 2.5" in the piping and they're mandrel bent with low restriction mufflers.

the best deal is gonna be using a GT takeoff -it's built for long life, and can usually be had for around $100. You would just need to pick up an adapter, or hav ethe shop fabricate one from stainless steel.

If you're looking for REALLY inexpensive exhaust, I'd suggest buying mufflers, then shopping around for someone to custom fabricate pipes. I don't know about Missouri, but here in San Antonio there are A LOT of small, independently owned shops, that will do just about anything real cheap. Just don't complain about not having a warranty for the parts and labor.

I'd suggest the GT take-offs, then buying some different mufflers. Entire kits generally start about $150. Here are some links;

This link is for mufflers only http://www.3.8mustang.com/performanc...stcat=Mufflers

On the V6 Tech main page, at the top of the forums, there is a thread for performance products/site. Check there for more brands and prices.
