I replace the altenator in aug 2004 and the wire cage, because it was melted, Now Nov 2006 I need another one ?? any ideas?maybe the regulator and they are just ripping me off??

sometimes the belt is to tight, and causes them to were out faster. you can get a belt 1/2 inch bigger if that's the case. it puts a lot of stress on the pulley bearings.
and that takes the statre out with it.
