you have a leaky seal, and need a Dirve Shaft Linkage?

Why not replace the seal?

I think his problem is he has an auto , and the slip joint that goes on the tranny has worn enough to cause a grove it it and that why he can't get it to seal to seat properly that why it keeps leaking . You could order a new one or go to the JY and see if they have one that is in good condition , personally I would order the new one.

if you have an automatic, sometimes the bushing inside the extension housing on the transmission gets worn and will leak. usually it will not hurt the slip yoke. solution, replace the extension housing. if you have an actual groove in the slip yoke, then i would replace that too, get it at the ford dealer. also check the extension housing bushing, and the speedo port plugs like to leak too. (silicone it up)
