Default X-pipe will make it louder right?
Ok so today I ordered my magnaflow x-pipe. Putting it on tomorrow. Friend at school (drives 01 mach 1) said a x-pipe WONT make my car louder, will only help perfomance. Is that true??? He told me to make it louder I would have to take ALL 4 cats off.

Is that true? The reason I bought the x was for sound, I dont care about performance (its only a v6). Maybe he doesn't know what hes talking about.....

1998 3.8L, K&N air filter, Silencer removal, True dual exhaust flowmaster 40s. Two kicker 12s. Magnaflow X-pipe. Done with the v6, saving up for the LS1 this summer.

An x-pipe with 2 hi-flow cats will certainly be loader than your stocker.

Alright good, my cats r stock though.

I know I have 4 cats, should I take the back 2 off, and leave the pre cats on, or just run the catted X with my flows.
