Default gear and ABS sensor questions

hey you guys, so i went up with my buddy to price getting gears installed in his car (2002 V6 automatic) hes looking at installing 3.73's and posi trac. he got quoted 200-250 for labor however the guy said that he'll most likely have to take off the ABS sensors since hes never come aross a car yet that they weren't rusted on. So my buddy will have to pay 122 a piece for 2 new ones. Now i've never heard of haveing to replace the ABS sensors when doing a gear swap. is this information right?

I haven't heard of it either. I just priced labor for it and they didn't say anything about an ABS sensor replacement.

KSCoyote, GT-Eater, Shinerstang, have you guys ever heard of this ???

All you really need to do is back the sensors out a 1/4" to get the c-clips to drop, rust shouldn't be an issue! or is it alot different on a 7.5 rear?

As far as I know, but I don't have ABS, TC, Stability Control, or any other crap on my car.

Just 4 wheels and a running board . . .
