Would it be good to put in a cobra irs rear end into my 99 v6? And would it just bolt in or would I have to do some moddifcations? If I do that I plan on getting cobra exhaust and the cobra 03-04 bumper becuase I like the way those. Also is there a way to get that bumper with MUSTANG ingraved in it insted of COBRA?
I believe the Cobra rear bumpers said "Mustang" in the 99-01 years. The 03 & 04's had the "Cobra" name. Best bet would be to go aftermarket for the rear bumper.
I'm not sure on mods to the body/frame when installing IRS. That is beyond my knowledge because I don't know anyone who has done it. KS and GT EATER are the experts on that.

You have to weld in a couple of supports. There's a thread on it somewhere in the archives . ..

so what do u gain from putting a cobra rear end in the v6???
the only gain i can see is not being a one wheel wonder anymore....
will the v6 turn the cobra rear end just as easy as the v6 rear end???
more stable handling. Less unsprung weight. Better weight distribution.
one wheel wonderism can be fixed with one of several LSDs.

I found A IRS rear end but the Rear cover is broken. It is $300 is it worth it?
Get it.
