a cracked exhaust manifold on a new edge V6? no me digas! which side is cracked and leaking? pon attencion KS. ya te dije.
there's a TSB - shield the manifold, and there are no probs.
But a new header will crack for the same reason -that's metallurgy.

which side? cuz they crack on both sides. ive even seen one where just the egr bung was completely broken off.
the tsb that you speak of calls for checking the Y pipe right before the cats for a broken weld, and the shield that you install goes on the firewall to redirect the water from the Y pipe not the headers. the parts that you order even include a revised exhaust hanger.
