Default 2001 V6 Mustang CAI Install Question

So, I got my CAI finally and I'm going to install it sometime this week. I was wondering if I'm going to have to jack the car up in order to put the filter on? Or can I get away with just sliding under the car and doing it? I have installed a short ram before, no problem but have never installed a CAI. Thank you.

No, you should be fine..... I installed mine without having to jack up the car. I just took my time when installing the filter into the wheel well.....

at stock height you can slide under and see inside the fender. Make it your last step and you should be fine

I didn't have to jack up the car or shave the fender interior. I had to cut about 1 inch off the pipe in order to get it to fit into the fenderwell though. It still only took me about 45 minutes to install.

CAI install turned out pretty good, pretty easy...Pain in the ass part was putting the filter on tight. The thing must have fell off about 10 times while I was trying to tighten it . But finally got it on there tight and clamped it down. First mod successful! Now on to installing my indiglo gauges, hopefully I don't screw that up.
