Default 2001 V6 Mustang will not start

2001 V6 Mustang has spark to the plugs and fuel at the shrader valve but will not start. I have pulled a plug and It doesnot seem to be getting fuel to the cylinder. Does anyone have an Idea of what to try next?

Just because u have fuel at the shrader does not mean u have enough fuel to pop the injectors so replace the fuel filter and also if u do not here the pump cycle ON when u pre ignition the switch then your pump is prob bad. U know the little humm for like a second from the rear before u start the car up so make sure everything is real quiet so u can listen for it.

35 to 40 at idle is good , you might want to check your fuses , if those are ok then it could you Fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail is faulty , but that should throw a code .

U might also need to replace or rebuild the injectors they have little filters on the tops of the injectors a good place to send them and have them flow matched is Accurate Injector Service - Fuel Injector Cleaning - Fuel Injector Balancing.
Esp if the car has over 75K u may have a couple of injectors not opening up and on some cars the computer will not let the car cut on. Also I sent mine in to be refinished and I am getting almost 25mpg on my car now. u can also send them your fuel rail to clean. Also check the fuel pressure sensor on the rails. make sure also the rail is getting a ground the wire is very small and can come off really easily. And is usually snapped on one of the studs on the fuel rail.

Just a thought here...

I'd put a DTC reader on her if you can. If not then pull one of the plug leads and get someone to turn it over for you while you test for a spark. Cam or crank sensors might not be giving the PCM the info it needs to tell the injectors when to open, or when to fire the spark plugs.

Hope you find the problem.

Is your key light on when starting it? Maybe it has something to do with the PATS system.
