The smell of gas (I would say unburned) constantly comes from the exhaust of my 95'. No smoke. Just the smell of gas.
No sensors out on the car other than the range sensor. I have a mac cold air intake (hoped that it would help, but it didn't).
How can I fix this?
How many miles are on the car & what have you done to it?

140k - nothing other than a CAI as of this moment.
The previous owners did some things to it, though. Someone mentioned that it looks like the car has intake spacers. So, I really have no idea what else they've done to the car.
Can't get into conact with them (they traded the car in at the dealer) and I bought it as the 3rd owner.

No codes?
Someone may have done something that's either throwing the computer out of whack, or you've got a leaky injector or two.
But if you smell gas, you should be getting codes.

Extremely frustrating. I pulled some aftermarket gauges out of the car and had over 10 wires (bare, different colors connecting, ungrounded, touching metal, etc).
I'm not sure what to do from this point, as far as seeing where the problem is coming from...
Could be the range sensor? That I am having problems getting to work after replacing it.

Shoot, it could be a fuel leak.
Hard to say without codes or seeing the car.
I'd just run it to a dealership, it'll be faster than replacing everything it "could" be.

it could be as simple, as taping the wires, and checking the fuel pressure, and timing.

do you have cats? do you smell it more outside the car or inside? the reason i asked if you have cats is you will smell a lot of emissions because the cats arent there to burn excess fumes away. and no codes.. so its most likely not a faulty part like 02 sensors or something. check your MAF meter. pop the hood and start the car. see if you notice the smell more in the engine compartment. check for exhaust leaks at the manifold. let us know what you find

Usually, if it's running really rich there's a cloud of black smoke . . . so it could be a leak at the fuel filter -who knows?

The smell is distinctly from the exhaust, and sometimes I 'think' I can smell a hint of gas inside the car.
I need to do a few things to the car this weekend so I will take the time to try and figure this out. Wrote down some of the comments - feel free to add anything else.

Check your cats, fuel injectors, and EGR valve to start.
