Default 2000 Mustang V6 Newly Installed Lights Lost Power, Can't Find Where The Short Is?

I added lights to my car recently, and I disconnected and used the cigarrette lighter as a power source, and then put a switch by my cup holders. The lights went out, and I can't figure out where the problem is. I put two new fuses in, even though the fuse didn't appear broken. I bought a new switch, no good. I traced the wiring to the power source, those wires are together tightly. My battery is fine. I can't figure out what it is. Any ideas?

still sounds like a fuse. What fuses did you replace. I believe there are two fuse panels...one under the dash and the one under the hood. What all went out? just the power to the 12v plugs?

When I orginally installed the lights, they didn't work, and I replaced the fuse, it was obviously blown, and then it worked. So It's the right fuse..it's a 20a fuse to the power source.

Grab a multimeter and begin pinning out the circuit. It's the easiest way to determine the problem.
