Default 2008 V6 Transmission Swap Question

Is it acceptable to swap a T5 manual out for a TR3650 on a V6? Is there anything else you have to swap to make this work?

Won't work. The TR-3650 has a modular (ie. 4.6L and 5.4L) bellhousing pattern.

What transmissions will work in order to handle more torque and just have a better quality. The factory tranny is kinda' crap.

TKO, T-56, etc.

The T-5 can be built to handle a lot of HP. Promotion is one of the best with these transmissions.

does anyone know if the t56 trany will fit on the 4.6L V8 ( this would be for years:2005-08).
will it require drive-shaft shortening?

AND, what about a new T5 from ford racing? one of the HD 5 speed ones?
will that work with the 4.6L
and will i need to shorten the drive-shaft.

thanks.
