Question I need help on a issue for a 1999 mustang v6

i think there is something wrong with the throttlei push the gas and it seems that it takes a little bit to get up and go is this normal it only has 96,00 miles

5.0 V6?


I would check your air filter. If it's dirty, it will have a hard time getting air to the engine. I would also check your Throttle Body Position Sensor.

my 88 gt is starting to do that for my car its 1 of 3 things the TPS(throttle position sensor or somthin) and or the fuel pump or fuel regulater

if it is an automatic, which Im guessing it is, it could be something with the transmission.

it could also be to much carbon build up in the engine, if thats the case i recommend going to Auto Zone and buying a product called SEAFOAM and running in through your engine.

Welcome to the forum..... I'm about an hour or so away. Bring it over and we'll take a look at it for free. No charge for cleaning out your intake and taking a look at it. We love doing that stuff at the shop. I wish all these guys around here were close. I would love nothing more than working on Mustangs all day......
