Default 1995 Mustang 3.8L Overheating Problem!

I have a 1995 3.8L Mustang 5 Speed and it overheats on me after letting it idle for 15-20 mins or just drive it around town doing a lot of idling, starting, and stopping. I bought it off of someone a few months ago and i dont know what he has been at with it. The fan does not cut in but I've takin the fan out and put power on it and it went. I put a volt meter on the plug at the fan and its gettin power, and plenty of it. Just wondering if anyone could give me some insite as to what it could be. I tried turning on the A/C but it still doesnt cut in. Could there be something unplugged or head gasket, radiator cap, thermostat, .........???????

First off stop driving the car. Secondly, more than likely it's your thermostat. It's probably sticking closed. Replace the thermostat as well as the radiator cap. The radiator cap has blown the pressure from the first time it overheated so you need to replace it. My suggestion is a Stant Radiator Cap w/ Release Valve.
