2000 Mustang 3.8L v6 Air Filter

I have to change my air filter (is a MAC), and wonder if there is a recommended brand for mustangs (K&N?).

Also my air intake is similar to the one shown in:

But since down here we have tropical rains some friends recommended me that I should change the position of the filter to be on top (like its original position).

What do you think?

you just have to clean and recharge the filter with a K&N cleaner kit.

You don't have to worry about rain.

Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his countrymen work for nothing...Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar?Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just,so all went well with him. He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well...But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain,on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion. Is just cleaning? I have attached photos of the air filter.

Regarding water issue, tropical rain here usually floods streets for a while (4 hours maybe), so if I drive into a street with a level of water that reachs half of my wheels, shouldn't it affect the air filter that is considerably low? What is the benefit of having the filter in that position besides having it on top?
