Default picking out a 68 mustang

short story. I'm 19, have a car worth about 6,500 looking to sell and get a classic mustang for about the same price. I've been looking at anything from 66-70, nothing crazy fancy under the hood. Drive about 250 miles a week. Here's a link to one that I'm currently looking at.
1968 Ford Mustang - Price drops $200 each week!

any help picking out a first mustang would be appreciated. I'm willing to work and put SOME money into it, but like I said I'm 19

That may be worth a look. Even get some extra parts with her. Keep us posted.

Hey thanks. I also looked at more pictures and the little rust on the car. I haven't taken a look at it yet in person, but I have been looking into price etc. Most sites say rust is a big issue, so i'm wary of that. Also since this isn't a rare or fancy model, does it matter if numbers match up on the car? any other info would help me thanks

Unless you plan on entering her (it will end up being your baby) in concours restoration car shows, a numbers-matching car is not worth it, imo. In that case, 6500 will get you a nice, clean coupe without much damage or rust and a motor that runs decently enough. Good luck with your hunt!

You can see if he would let you have it looked over before buying it. We offer this to many of our customers looking to purchase another mustang or any other classic.

We take about an hour and do an overall inspection with your car on the lift and let you know what type of problems you may be looking at in the near future.
