hey guys, I have a comustar alarm and I'm pritty sure it was installed improperly. I've been having major problems since I've gotten the car with the alram. I want to finally take it in and have it checked out. I live around an hour away from modesto and stocton. anyone recommend an alarm shop that will fix my alarm without charging me up the a$$ because I know nothing about alarms?

is this like a theft alarm or a radar detecter. you might want to call the company and make sure everything is setup right with it. im aprenticing at an install shop an this guy had a $500 radar detector in his truck, the manual was written wring and two of the harnesses were crossed up.

its a theft alarm. Now the alarm works on and off, today I got frusterrated and pressed the button like 15 times and it unlocked the car. then it went into valet mode and worked normal for like 5-6 times then stopped working again and worked on and off throught the day. I dont know if this changes anything but when the alarm works the remote beeps and lights up, when it dosen't work it doesent light up the lcd or beep or anything and shows no signal. could it all be in the remote?

I'm just trying to fix my current alarm, I just found out it was a $750 alarm with perfessional install. whoever installed this should not be in the alarm business

sounds to me like there is some sort of internal problem. does it have an antanna or it is internal?

sorry to bring this post back up I forgot I made a post about this and just checked, also still having the problem off and on.
there is no antenna on the car but there is on the remote.
