When you say something like "Giant parking lot", how many spaces is that? The substantial number of cars at a recent SoCal Stangs cruise (fifty or sixty, maybe) really spread out over a pretty big lot.
If you're serious about "Mega" cruise, how many cars is that?
Have you checked with other Mustang clubs about their schedules? Black Mustang Club and Yellow Mustang Club usually have their Bumble Bee Run during the time period you are talking about. You want to be a couple of weeks before or after that, don't you?
I'd really like to see several hundred Mustangs congregate, but it isn't going to be as spectacular as we'd like unless those and other considerations are dealt with.

but i told her the first Saturday in march and august, and we would supply the advertising, and we would rope off the lot. could we have a live band playing... we wouldn't pay them of course. but maybe that's for a later date.

myspace, facebook, gas stations, local car shows, neighbors with mustangs, work, garage sales, craigslist, own websites, allfordmustangs site, religous centers, near by car clubs, mustang\car shops (repair and specialty), family, grocery stores, friends with hook ups, any means possible. as soon as we get a spot ready and a set date.
