I will be at Knott's, but I don't know which vehicle I will take. My son, Jesse, just registered for UTI Arizona and the funds for the twins just came to a holt.
I was going to register the twins, but I may have to take my 99 Lightning. If I register the twins and can't finish it, because of funds, will they let me change over to the Lightning class?

That's the best seat in the house You get to see them all parade right by you :thumbsup
Without a doubt. This will be my 10th or 11th year making sure your mirror card is hanging or present and directing traffic. EVERY car, truck or what have you rolls right by, saves a butt load of walking around the rest of the day. Wouldn't miss it!

Yep, everyone will have to parade by Mark and I to get in. So make sure you are pre-registered, and have your hang tag hanging from the mirror. No hang tag, no get into Knott's. You may get by me, but you will never get by Mark.
Better get your registration in soon, we have a few extra spaces this year, but it will sell out. Last year the show was sold out by mid March. See you all there.

I got a few questions for you Council guys. Are you going to stick us Mustang guys on the "side of the show" again? Ive been told we late model "Mustang" guys get put over there year after year because we make up a smaller portion of the show and it makes logistical sence to place the smaller bulk of cars over there. Correct me if I'm wrong but I beleave we made up over 50% of the show alone last year. It would be nice to see some fairness in overall placement this year.
I wil try to answer this... we are parked where we are, because that is the area that we fit in. The parking commitee have a very tough job of trying to fit in over 1500 cars into that parking lot. They try very hard to be fair, and keep all the different classes in some kind of order. The Mustangs are over 50% of the show, and if we could fill up the other side then we would be parked over there. This discussion comes up evey year at the council, and we try to be fair. It is very hard to please everyone, every year.
I hope this helps you understand a little better. If you have any more questions, please feel free to send me a pm, and I will help you out.

If it was fair, then atleast one year out of the last 6 ive attended the Mustang would be moved to the front of the show. If Mustangs make up more than 50% of the show then why are we not getting the BIGGER side of the show. I know I dont just speak for my self and there must be atleast a 100 people ive talked to that are disgusted that year after year this continues to happen. It would be nice to know that one year this will change. I know of alot of people including my self that just didnt attend shows last year due to the lack of care to the late model Mustangs recieve. If you drive an early model and your window changed you got another class. We have two completely different cars in one class. 94-04. It should be 94-95, 96-98, 99-04, then obviously a class for the Mach, Bullit, Saleen ect.
When will the respect be given to the late model car owners?

class 52 is SVT's, 54 is all Saleens, and 55 is for all signature Mustangs that are not Saleen's and Shelby's....The differences between a 94 and an 04 is not as great as as the differance between a '65 and a 67 since the suspension is the same. The main reason to put the non-Mustangs up front is to show people more of a veriaty. I think that they should put the exotics near the street, to get the people off of the street to see the show. It is not Mustang vs. all other Fords, it is ALL FORDS. I think that the show should be mixed up, put the model A's next to a class of modern Mustangs next to the Falcon class....I get tired of seeing 100 FOXES then 100 SN95's...mix it up!
