I plan on attending and covering the event for AFM. I'm in Long Beach so cruisin' down would be pretty cool!
Anyone going to the Saddleback Mustang Show this coming weekend? I am plannning to go and cover the event as well in the morning and then come back and cover the Belmont Shore 2nd Street show in the afternoon. Both are fantastic shows! Anyone interested in hooking up for either of those shows as well?

Well, I will be at the Belmont show this Sunday, so I will see you there. As of now we are not planning on showing at the Saleen show, my 65 doesn't fit in with them late model stuff. We may run down there and check out the happening, we do have a friend that is showing at Saleen.

I'm going to try to be there. Steve said I could take the S7 for spin. Thought that was nice of him.
But I'm coming UP from San Diego, so not much a cruise for me.
BTW: just kidding about the S7 thing. Although, they better hide the keys good, because if you hear on the radio about a high speed persuit of a super car, that will mean I found the keys

got nitrous? only babies, and little boys with bowties use bottles!
they can take away my keys from my cold dead lifeless hands, if they can catch me first
I plan to cover the Saleen show and the event will be listed in our west coast regional calendar later today.

Anyone going to Carlsbad Raceway for the mustang vs. LS1 shootout? The event is scheduled for Sept. 14.
navymailman.com I was'nt aware of this event. It sounds very interesting and I would like to attend as well! Can you or someone provide some additional information or better yet, submit it to our events calendar so we can help get the word out?
I didn't know they were having the Mustang vs LS1 shootout.
I went a couple of years ago to the 5.0's vs The World at Carlsbad Raceway. It was pretty cool even though it should have been called 5.0's vs Domestic's. I just hope there's a better showing for this event than before.
I also hope a Mustang wins it this time. Last time I went it was won by an early 70's Firebird with a stroker big block chevy with 2 stages of Nitrous. This car ran 8 and 9 second runs all day long. I can't wait to watch some Mustang's Kick some LS1 *ss!
I'm going to try to make it down to watch and take some pic's. If anyone has more info let me know.
I apologize for the late entry of this information, but here's the deal with Carlsbad.
There will be an informal gathering (the raceway doesn't know we're coming) of Mustangs and GM vehicles.
There is a group of people meeting at the Firestone Tire in Laguna Hills to cruise down together, leaving at 11.45 am. The idea for this weeked was proposed before we realized the Saleen show was the same day.
So if you'd rather race than gawk, come on down. Right now I know of more Camaro's coming than Mustangs. We do have some low 12 cars RSVP'd, but I know there are rides around faster than that, so get them lined up.
