The L.A. Auto Show - Jan4-12/2003 - Who's going and when ?

Hi guy's to bad I have to go to work or I would drive to L.A. for
the Auto Show but, I unfortunitly already took my vacation!
I will keep posted for future plan's. Twister I am sorry to hear
you blowed your trannmission it sound like you need a new T-5
tranny for your 86. Good luck on the install and I hope you find
a good price on a tranny! World Class T-5 will hold up better than
the stock T-5 and shift better.Twister it may be costly to get
a new trannmission but, we'll worst the investment! Best of luck.

96TT, thanks, but my AOD is built.....and my engine would shred a T5, so I would need to get a Tremic.

As for the show, Sunday is best for me, since I am assembling an interrior on a 67 FB Saturday, scott, if you want to take pics.....I do have a bottle of merlot....

96TT too bad you could'nt join us but we do have an AFM Wine Tour & Cruise in the works as well as as few additiianl events being planned around the Fabulous Fords Forever weekend at Knott's. And thats just for starters. There will be plenty happening trhoughout 2003, so I am already looking forward to meeting you at one of the events.

Twister, glad to see you can make it and hope your dad can make it as well. Be sure to tell him there's always room for another Ford Fanatic!

Right now we are planning to hook up at 10:00am, next to the James Bond Thunderbird in the Ford display. I'd love to head on down there, but it's a 3 hour drive for me (Santa Barbara), so I'm still debating it. Anyone know if the 05 Stang is going to be there?

OK, looks like I'm not going to go tomorrow (the 4th) after all.
I got word that my new rims are in, so I'll be dealing with that issue tomorrow morning. I plan on going to Irwindale in the evening and catching the racing action up there. I might be down for going to the show on Sunday, are you guys going to meet up somewhere in LB ??
Let me know, I could possiably meet up with you there and go up.

Shadow, you and I can meet at my house, then ride the Blue Line up ($1.50, drops you off next to the convention center, and we don't have to pay for parking!!!) PM me if you are interested

shadow Hope you can work it out to make it. Cathy and I will be taking the Blue Line to the convention center as well. You should take twister up on his offer.. and check out his fathers garage and all four sweet rides he has parked in it!

jjxusaf we have a couple of other members JUSTNLX and StalkerStang that are from your neck of the woods that I think are also thinking of driving down for the show. I know ywissh is also from up there but have not heard yet if he is planning to cruise down. I remember hearing Ford is going to have a prototype of the 2005 Mustang there but can't recall where I heard it. I also heard Ford was going all out this year because of their 100th anniversary celebration this year. I am really looking forward to the show and hope you decide to head on down there tomorrow morning and hook up with us all at the show!

Anyone else thinking of going and interested in meeting up with usall there?

When I got there I went directly to the Ford dispaly when I noticed my error I went down to the James Bond cars but I was unable to find you guys.

That place really started to get busy. I managed to take a bunch of pictures of the cars so I'm happy

I know 2 cars that I'm now looking at getting soon, the 03 Cobra

the whole car is awsome and how about those seat's. The new Lancer Evolution now that is one import I wouldn't mind owning. If you need any more pic's let me know I only took 116 pictures

I wish I could have taken more before it got too busy.
I hope to meet up with you guys at another function in the future. Twister had mentioned something about a Peterson Automotive Museum trip. I'm game for that one.
